DMI can manufacture, modify or repair your equipment utilizing your design and drawings or with our engineering, design and drawing support. Our machining, fabrication and assembly capabilities can produce a wide range of sanitary and industrial process equipment following the latest OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ASME, AWS as well as your GMP standards. In addition, we will gladly support your maintenance breakdown needs with rapid turnarounds on components and parts.
PROCESS PIPING
DMI's process piping capabilities include sanitary, following various applicable codes/standards – USDA, FDA, 3A, AIB, ASME-BPE, B31.3, AWS D18.1, etc., as well as typical industrial piping involving steam, chilled water, ammonia, air, etc. If Design assistance is needed, we can partner with you on your process improvements. Our staff of experienced welders maintain ASME Section IX certifications in a broad range of mild steel and bright metal alloys utilizing various welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW). Where required, borescope and weld logging services can be provided.
STRUCTURAL
DMI has engineered, designed and fabricated a vast array of platforms, walkways, mezzanines, etc. for the petroleum, chemical, food, pharmaceutical and general industry. All of our structural welding requirements are performed by AWS certified welders under various codes: D1.1, D1.6, D1.8 utilizing GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and/or SMAW welding processes. Structural fabrications have been performed utilizing typical mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel materials in a range of finishes from mill thru 30 Ra µin finish.
SHEETMETAL
From Engineering and Design through fabrication, DMI has been involved with a broad range of sheetmetal projects including dust collection systems, tanks, bins, sanitary ductwork, cabinets, sink and counters, etc. Our staff maintains AWS certifications in a broad range of alloys (mild steel and bright alloys) and welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW) utilized in sheetmetal fabrication. Stainless steel alloy material and weld finishes to 12 Ra µin finish can be provided. In addition, we can provide in-house passivation services and profilometer QC measurements.
MILLWRIGHT
Our installation and millwright staff are available to meet your schedule requirements. We can provide “one man and a truck” to augment your maintenance crew all the way through a complete system installation involving process piping, structural, sheet metal, equipment, etc. Major millwright equipment consist of a Clark 30,000 lb. fork truck, Broderson 17,000 lb. x 30 ft. crane, multiple smaller fork trucks as well as equipment skates, jacks, etc. We maintain a full complement of laser leveling/measuring equipment, to aid in equipment setup. All of our staff have OSHA 10 training and coursework in multiple safety categories and participate in both weekly and monthly safety coursework provided by both internal and independent professionals.
